About the Role:

The Village of Taunton Mills is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Environmental Services to join their team. As a key member of the Village's leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of environmental health and safety across the Village.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct department(s) in a healthcare setting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe working environment and home for residents.
  • Teach team members how to safely handle potentially hazardous materials and facilitate regular fire drills to ensure awareness of precautions and processes.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve Village goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective safety measures and procedures, auditing and evaluating their effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
  • Three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting.
  • Caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with shift scheduling, department spending, and budget.
  • Skills in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience auditing and evaluating safety measures and procedures.
