About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Jellybean Park Playcare Inc. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Early Childhood Educators: Collaborate with our experienced educators to design and implement engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress, including observations, reports, and communication with parents and guardians.
  • Child Support: Provide individualized support to children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Preparation and Setup: Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for children.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's behavior and development, and submit written observations to educators or supervisors as required.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share knowledge, and address any concerns.
  • Establishing Guidelines: Develop and implement guidelines for behavior, ensuring a positive and respectful environment for all children.
Working Conditions
  • Team Environment: Work collaboratively with a team of 3-4 people to achieve common goals and provide high-quality care to children.
  • Certifications and Qualifications: Possess a Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification and a First Aid Certificate.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to perform repetitive tasks, work in a physically demanding environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Transportation: Access to public transportation is available for employees.

  • Punctuality and Reliability: Demonstrate a strong commitment to punctuality and reliability in your work.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, including efficient communication, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: Work a regular 40-hour week.
