Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team at North Eastern Trucking Inc. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Or equivalent experience
