Job Summary

The City of Brampton is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curling Instructor to join our team. As a Curling Instructor, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a high-quality curling program that is stimulating and enjoyable for all participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality curling lessons for participants of all skill levels
  • Develop and implement engaging and safe curling programs
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for participants
  • Communicate effectively with participants, staff, and stakeholders
  • Supervise and mentor volunteers and assistants
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Ensure a safe and tidy program space
  • Report any incidents or concerns to the supervisor

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of curling experience
  • Curling teaching certification from an accredited organization (e.g. NCCP, Club Coach, Competition Coach, Coaching Level 3 Technical)
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR C from an accredited organization
  • High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or Sport Certification
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Permanent residency in Brampton
