Reliability and Efficiency Expert

CORCYM is a global medical device company dedicated to the structural heart area. We're seeking a skilled Preventive Maintenance Technologist to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing innovative solutions for heart surgeons and patients.

This role requires a motivated and self-directed individual to perform preventative maintenance, design, fabrication, qualification, and repair of our custom and off-the-shelf manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills and be confident working under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring all quality, safety, and regulatory policies are met.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance standards and methods for equipment.
  • Provide backup with review of preventative maintenance records and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in investigating irregularities concerning manufacturing equipment systems.
  • Support and execute calibration activities as required.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of related experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Technical degree or diploma in a related field.
  • Willingness to develop or obtain 5th Class Power Engineer certification.

Working Conditions:

  • On-site position at our Burnaby, British Columbia facility.
  • Weekday shifts and occasional weekend shifts as needed.
  • Kneeling, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special garments and safety equipment.
