Landscape Labourer Job Description

At Alternative Landscape Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various tasks to maintain our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and safety.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and rake and collect refuse to keep our outdoor spaces clean and tidy.
  • Remove litter and garbage to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to create lush, green spaces.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance our outdoor environments.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep our team informed.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure their health and well-being.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Remove trees as needed to maintain our outdoor spaces.

  • Perform repetitive tasks to maintain our outdoor spaces.
  • Handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Use manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.
  • Use hand-eye coordination to operate equipment and perform tasks safely.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors to ensure accurate and efficient work.
