Landscape Labourer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at Alternative Landscape Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various tasks related to lawn care and gardening.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including laying sod or seed, planting bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Tie and secure plants, ensuring they are properly anchored and secure.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and rake and collect refuse to keep our outdoor spaces clean and tidy.
  • Remove litter and garbage, and cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Write daily basic progress reports to keep our team informed of your activities.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.

  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Perform repetitive tasks, such as mowing and trimming, for extended periods.
  • Handle heavy loads, including equipment and materials.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and work in a variety of weather conditions.
