Job Title: Speech Therapist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at the Commission Scolaire Central Quebec / Central Quebec School Board. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in detecting, identifying, and evaluating speech and hearing problems in students, and recommending appropriate learning situations and therapies to support their reeducation or readaptation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group meetings to detect and evaluate speech, language, and hearing problems in students.
  • Select students who may benefit from special classes and special care.
  • Determine and apply an appropriate reeducation therapy, in collaboration with other health specialists, as needed.
  • Refer cases to specialized clinics, if necessary.
  • Participate in case studies with multidisciplinary teams to address pedagogical implications.
  • Establish close contacts with parents, teachers, and other individuals involved in the students' care.
  • Advise the board on arranging special classes and equipment needs.

Requirements:

  • Member of the Professional Corporation of Speech Therapists and Audiologists of Quebec.
  • Or, possess a bachelor's degree with an appropriate specialty, such as speech therapy or audiology.
