Job Title: Support Services Manager

At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the development and coordination of support services, ensuring the cohesive integration of these services with programs to achieve optimal patient care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective support services strategies to meet the needs of patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with facilities services support lead to ensure seamless integration of support services with programs.
  • Manage and coordinate support services, including environmental hygiene, food production, laundry, mobile support, order/receiving/warehousing supplies, and building maintenance.
  • Oversee the management of capital and minor capital expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with Shared Health policies, procedures, and the Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations.

Requirements:

  • Management experience in a healthcare environment, required.
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized setting, preferred.
  • Experience in quality improvement, workplace safety, patient safety, and risk management, required.
  • Experience applying change management principles, required.
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures, required.

Education and Certification:

  • Post-secondary degree/Bachelor of Human Nutritional Sciences or Food Sciences or a Degree in Management or post-secondary certification in healthcare management required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Lean 6-sigma certification at a Green Belt level or higher, desired.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills, required.
  • Ability to solve complex issues under pressure in a timely manner, required.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health practices and procedures, required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, required.
  • Excellent written communication skills, required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, required.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), required.
