Job Summary

The Compensation and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process, ensuring timely remittances to government agencies, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires collaboration with accounting and human resources teams to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate payroll processes for various entities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Conduct follow-ups related to group insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits to ensure employees' needs are met;
  • Calculate and apply garnishments and bonuses applicable to certain employees, in accordance with labor laws and standards;
  • Prepare and verify payroll-related reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement;
  • Oversee the year-end process, ensuring deadlines are met and all necessary documents are completed;
  • Analyze reports submitted to government agencies and other stakeholders, providing insights to inform business decisions;
  • PARTICIPATE IN THE ONGOING IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DAYFORCE SYSTEM, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
Requirements
  • University certificate in accounting or a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management;
  • Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce software is an asset;
  • Proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written, with bilingualism being an asset due to the predominantly English-speaking workforce;
  • Excellent knowledge of labor laws and standards, with the ability to analyze and apply them effectively;
  • High attention to detail and strong priority management skills.
Additional Information

The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Bilingualism is an asset for this position, as many employees use English. Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
