Sandvik is seeking a skilled Rock Tools Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, calibrating, and operating machines used in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate machines to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Operate various conventional and CNC manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality products.
- Select and measure raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing.
- Resolve issues related to production, machinery, processing, and packaging operations.
- Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
- Determine and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to 5S principles.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school (high school) is required.
- Knowledge and/or experience with industry-specific equipment (mining or construction) is an asset.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience with Sandvik products is an asset.
- Ability to work as part of an integrated team and communicate effectively.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license in good standing is required.
