Clinical Therapist Position

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our Adult Service team in Mental Health and Addictions. As a member of our team, you will provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients. You will carry out the general duties of the Adult Service team, participate in quality initiatives in the program of care, engage in collaborative person-centred care, and utilize available information technology to support best practice.
About YouWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Therapist who possesses a Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline and is registered with the relevant provincial regulatory body. You will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders, as well as skills in providing individual and group evidence-informed therapies based on care plans to clients with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or concurrent disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and crisis management for clients
- Participate in quality initiatives in the program of care
- Engage in collaborative person-centred care
- Utilize available information technology to support best practice
- Receive and provide supervision and mentorship as part of a community of practice
- Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline
- Current registration with the relevant provincial regulatory body
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders
- Demonstrated skills in providing individual and group evidence-informed therapies based on care plans to clients with mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or concurrent disorders
