Job Title: Landscaper

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscaper to join our team at St. George's Golf and Country Club.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing landscaping projects, preparing conceptual designs, and estimating costs. They will also be responsible for preparing presentation graphics and drawings, surveying and assessing designated sites, and applying various treatments such as pruning, spraying, and repairing damaged areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage landscaping projects from conception to completion
  • Prepare conceptual designs and proposals for clients
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets for projects
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings for clients
  • Survey and assess designated sites to determine the best course of action
  • Apply various treatments such as pruning, spraying, and repairing damaged areas
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products
  • Assess the health of lawns and diagnose problems and diseases in trees and shrubs
  • Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes
  • Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens
  • Plant and move trees
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in landscaping
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work at heights
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use various tools and equipment
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. They will also be required to work at heights and lift heavy loads.
