We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Operations Team Member to join our team at the Station Square Food Store in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

Job Description

This part-time Cashier position involves providing excellent customer service, processing transactions efficiently, handling cash and credit sales, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service standards are met, resolving customer inquiries, and promoting our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, using a point-of-sale system
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, as well as bag groceries
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including front-end merchandising areas
  • Complete opening and closing duties, reconciling tills and counting cash
  • Contribute to a team environment by assisting in other areas as required
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also be proficient in a retail point-of-sale system and have previous experience in a similar role.

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
  • Cash handling experience, with proficiency in a point-of-sale system
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality service standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
