Position Overview: As a Virtual Reality Developer at Just Virtual, you will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and immersive virtual environments. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with a team of designers, artists, and fellow developers to create innovative VR applications that captivate users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development: Design, develop, and sustain virtual reality applications and simulations utilizing advanced VR development tools.
  • Asset Integration: Create and incorporate 3D models, animations, and assets into VR settings, ensuring high-quality visuals and seamless interactions.
  • User Interface Design: Implement user-friendly interfaces and controls within VR applications, prioritizing user experience.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance VR applications for optimal performance, ensuring fluid frame rates across various VR hardware.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging of VR applications to identify and rectify issues, guaranteeing a smooth user experience.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and quality assurance testers, to deliver projects on schedule and within specifications.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in virtual and augmented reality to integrate innovative features into applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of code, development processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in VR development frameworks and tools, such as Unity3D or Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya) and the ability to work with 3D assets.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills to troubleshoot technical issues in VR applications.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A creative approach and attention to detail to develop visually stunning VR experiences.
  • Adaptability to new technologies and methodologies in the fast-paced virtual reality landscape.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing previous VR projects is highly advantageous.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in virtual reality development with a proven track record of successful projects.
  • Knowledge of VR hardware and devices, including Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
  • Understanding of VR design principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with 360-degree video, spatial audio, and haptic feedback is beneficial.
  • Experience with VR platforms, SDKs, and APIs.
  • Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional VR experiences.
