Position Overview: As a Virtual Reality Developer at Just Virtual, you will play a crucial role in crafting engaging and immersive virtual experiences. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with designers, artists, and fellow developers to create captivating VR applications that transport users into new worlds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain innovative virtual reality applications and simulations using leading VR development platforms.
  • Asset Integration: Create and integrate high-quality 3D models, animations, and other assets into VR environments, ensuring visually stunning and interactive experiences.
  • User Interface Design: Implement user-friendly interfaces and controls in VR applications, focusing on enhancing user experience and interaction.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize applications for performance across various VR hardware, ensuring smooth operation and responsiveness.
  • Testing and Debugging: Conduct comprehensive testing and debugging of VR applications to identify and rectify issues, guaranteeing a seamless user experience.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and quality assurance testers, to deliver projects on schedule and within specifications.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in virtual and augmented reality to integrate innovative features into applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of code, development processes, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and future development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in VR development tools and frameworks, such as Unity3D or Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya) and the ability to work with 3D assets.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills to troubleshoot technical issues in VR applications.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • A creative approach and attention to detail to produce visually compelling VR experiences.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the evolving field of virtual reality.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous VR projects is highly advantageous.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in virtual reality development with a proven track record of successful projects.
  • Familiarity with VR hardware (e.g., Oculus Rift, HTC Vive) and understanding of VR design principles.
  • Knowledge of 360-degree video, spatial audio, and haptic feedback is a plus.
  • Experience with VR SDKs and APIs.
  • Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality VR experiences.
