Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Mackenzie Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Address and resolve issues in a productive and respectful manner.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and use best practice guidelines.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Membership in the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
- 2-3 years acute nursing experience.
- 1 year Emergency, Critical Care, or Telemetry experience.
