Nurse Practitioner

Mackenzie Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide holistic, patient-centered care to patients within the scope of practice identified by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Work collaboratively as part of the interprofessional care team to create a world-class health experience for patients and their families.
- Contribute to safe, quality care by effectively managing a workload, addressing and resolving issues, and exercising sound professional judgment.
- Comply with patient and staff safety policies and procedures to create a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Practical Nurse Diploma from an approved nursing program preferred.
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
- At least 1 year of recent nursing experience (within the past 3 years) working as a Registered Practical Nurse in an acute care setting.
- Experience working with electronic medical records.
- Familiarity with the Regulated Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, and the Standards of Practice of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- One year relevant O.R experience.
- Member of the Registered Practical Nurses' Association of Ontario (RPNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
- Certification with CNA.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
