About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our Maintenance and Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to support the requirements of our Maintenance and Engineering teams.
  • Manage our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure timely completion of work orders and asset management.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to perform required services.
  • Review and provide feedback on contractor and internal service reports.
  • Meet with vendors and procurement teams to review contract deliverables.
  • Coordinate with clients for approval on all planned works.
  • Expedite and complete routine past-due work orders to support the maintenance schedule.
  • Generate work orders using our CMMS.
  • Develop and execute improvements to focus on inventory reduction and material shortages.
  • Report on established planning metrics to support our overall facilities metrics.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in adapting and applying procedures to address day-to-day activities.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS.
  • APICS Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), SCMP designation, or similar designation is an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Maintenance planning role within large facilities.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, Access, etc.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and principles and working knowledge of Maintenance management is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task under pressure in a high-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
