Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in the Québec City, Saguenay and Lower St. Lawrence regions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, assessing and monitoring structures for institutional, residential and commercial projects of various scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of building projects, including assessments, field surveys, inspections, technical reports, drawings and specifications, and construction supervision.
- Design structural elements for various steel, concrete, wood or masonry structures.
- Perform calculations using specialized software.
- Contribute to the preparation of structural drawings and specifications.
- Prepare quantity and cost estimates.
- Participate in coordination with architects, professionals, contractors and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or an equivalent, with a major in structural engineering.
- Title of engineer registered with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
- Three to five years' relevant experience in residential, commercial, industrial and institutional building structures.
- Knowledge of standards and codes governing building structures in Québec.
- Proficiency in ETABS, ADA, SAFE and Microsoft Office 365.
- ASP Construction card.
- Knowledge of Revit software (an asset).
- Fluency in spoken and written French.
