Stephano Menswear is seeking a skilled Senior Garment Artisan to join our team. As a senior artisan, you will play a key role in creating high-quality, bespoke garments for our discerning clients.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and creating bespoke garments to meet client specifications
  • Fitting, altering, and repairing garments as required
  • Laying out, cutting, sewing, and pressing materials to create hats and other accessories
  • Selecting and modifying commercial patterns to suit client needs
  • Operating sewing machines or sewing by hand, depending on the project requirements
  • Making adjustments to garment designs to ensure optimal fit and appearance
  • Working closely with clients to understand their design preferences and needs
  • Collaborating with other artisans to achieve project goals and timelines

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • 5+ years of experience in garment creation, preferably in a bespoke setting
  • Exceptional sewing and pattern-making skills, including the ability to work with various fabrics and materials
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • A strong understanding of garment construction principles and techniques
