As a Trailer Mechanic at Purolator, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper function and safety of our delivery vehicles and equipment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Inspections, maintenance, and repairs of delivery vehicles and equipment to meet safety and operational standards.


  • Conducting maintenance and repairs, ordering parts, updating work orders, and communicating with suppliers and operations.


  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting quality control issues and reporting them to determine their cause and required repairs.


  • Repairing vehicles, ordering parts, and informing customers of repair status.


  • Maintaining parts inventory, purchasing required parts for maintenance and repairs, and determining if parts can be rebuilt or repaired.


  • Coordinating administrative requirements for preventative maintenance and providing emergency road service when vehicles break down.


  • Identifying root causes and repair options, arranging for truck pickups through third-party vendors, and managing vehicle maintenance records.


Requirements:


  • Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician (310S) to inspect, diagnose, repair, and service mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components.


  • 5 years of experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive equipment.


  • Quebec requires competence card from the parity committee or 3 years of experience with a letter attesting to its competence for a vehicle fleet.


  • G driver license.


  • Completion of Community College of About Two Academic Years - Specialized trade or occupational courses.


Working Conditions:


Warehouse/Garage Environment, Location: Etobicoke, ON, Monday - Friday, 5:30pm-2:00am (40hrs weekly).
