Job Overview


At Harmac Transportation, a prominent bulk liquid carrier and member of the Seaboard Transport Group, we are seeking skilled Truck and Trailer Maintenance Specialists to join our team in North York, ON.


Responsibilities



  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on trucks and trailers in accordance with safety procedures, standards, and regulations
  • Work under the supervision of a Journeyman mechanic to diagnose and repair complex issues
  • Participate in safety and maintenance meetings to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide professional service-oriented interactions with all staff and customers
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform repairs as required
  • Attend and participate in work-related training and development opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
  • Review and complete electronic work orders
  • Diagnose and communicate required parts to the lead-hand or parts coordinator

Requirements



  • Registered as an apprentice truck and/or trailer mechanic
  • Ability to work under close supervision and willingness to learn from a journeyman mechanic
  • Experience working as a B620 inspector is considered an asset
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and computer skills
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Additional assets include knowledge of engine diagnostics
