Salary:

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Construction Management or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required, and knowledge of safety standards, construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and general industry practices is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and BIM software is an asset. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and direction of day-to-day field activities and managing the construction site.
  • Maintenance of site security at all times.
  • Ensuring construction satisfies all permit requirements.
  • Advising the project team of any site conditions not previously identified.
  • Preparation and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Review and coordination of delivery dates of critical materials.
  • Management of union issues on site and resolution of disputes with subtrades.
  • Conducting safety and coordination meetings and preparing meeting minutes.
  • Management and maintenance of project costs within budget.
  • Preparation and submission of job reports.
  • Maintenance of knowledge of all equipment and materials.
  • Establishment of quantities, ordering of materials, and reconciliation with estimates.
  • Completion of reports for concrete ordering and pouring.
  • Management and implementation of Change Orders.
  • Initial review and provision of feedback on shop drawings.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or college diploma in Construction Management.
  • P.Eng designation.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry.
  • Go transit project experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and general industry practices.
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards.
  • Gold Seal Certified / LEED Accredited is an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Procore and BIM software knowledge is an asset.
