Job Title: Patient Service Centre Assistant

At LifeLabs, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and service. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Service Centre Assistant to join our team in Kamloops, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients upon arrival, review requisitions for accuracy, and provide instruction on specimen collection procedures.
  • Accurately enter patient demographics, requisition information, and other relevant details into our system.
  • Accept and reconcile patient specimen drop-offs, and maintain adequate stock of supplies.
  • Cash collection and reconciliation for uninsured testing, and print and deliver reports to physician offices as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare personal time sheets, and perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Stay informed and comply with all safety regulations, including WHMIS, TDG, and LifeLabs' Safety manual.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Good computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
