We have successfully determined the most probable cause of a loss or failure in over 120,000 cases. Our clients include insurance companies and attorneys who engage us to produce reports in various fields such as Fire Investigation, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Biomechanical, Structural and Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgy, Collision Reconstruction, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Science.

Job Description

As a forensic expert at CEP Forensic, you will be responsible for solving complex cases involving fires and explosions. You will conduct investigations to determine the origin and cause of these incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses to piece together the puzzle.

You will work closely with other investigators to analyze data and create comprehensive reports. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to represent the company professionally during client interactions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in electrical engineering and your passion for investigation to make a real difference in the lives of people affected by fires and explosions.

Requirements
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant training/education;
  • Prior fire investigation or firefighting experience; CFEI and/or CVFI certification a definite plus;
  • P.Eng. Designation preferred;
  • Practical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems;
  • Skilled and interested in technical and hands-on work;
  • Excellent ability to synthesize and analyze information, as well as to identify and solve problems;
  • Ability to author technical reports;
  • French language skills would be great.
