Position Overview

This role involves advanced administrative tasks within a fast-paced shipping environment. You will analyze complex reports, manage small projects, and utilize various software tools for data analysis. Your responsibilities may include overseeing junior staff and providing training as needed.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly examine commercial and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Correct errors in pre-advise information, maintaining data integrity throughout the process.
  • Compile and store shipping documents according to regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and organization.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations, effectively communicating findings and insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct data analysis using software and databases like MS Access, identifying trends and patterns within shipping operations.
  • Provide advanced office support and coordination for internal and external contacts, fostering strong relationships and efficient communication.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or International equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an office or warehouse environment, preferably within the shipping industry.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, research, attention to detail, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, with a focus on data analysis tools.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills are crucial for maintaining the accuracy of shipping records.
