Experienced Veterinarian Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced veterinarian to join our team in a lead role at VCA Canada Northumberland Animal Hospital.
As a lead veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of veterinarians and support staff, and contributing to the hospital's growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and surgery
- Leading a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure excellent patient care and hospital operations
- Developing and implementing medical protocols and procedures to improve patient care and hospital efficiency
- Collaborating with other veterinarians and hospital staff to achieve hospital goals and objectives
- Participating in continuing education and professional development to stay current with the latest medical knowledge and techniques
Requirements:
- Valid full veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada
- 3+ years experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and offering nutritional advice
- Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with colleagues, pet parents, and community
- Possession of a passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey
