About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Materials Coordinator to join our Mine Maintenance team at the Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.

The Macassa Mine is a high-grade gold producer with a strong focus on safety and efficiency. As an Electrical Materials Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of scheduled and unscheduled activities by coordinating the ordering, tracking, storing, and distribution of electrical materials underground.

Responsibilities

  • Secure electrical materials and parts in close communication with shift supervision.
  • Tag and kit electrical materials as per job task and location.
  • Maintain close communication with the Planner, Electrical Designer, and General Supervisor to ensure future work is resourced effectively.
  • Attend Planning/Scheduling Meetings to review and input on parts and material availability.
  • Participate in kitting electrical materials underground in preparation for upcoming work.
  • Communicate through a log/spreadsheet all activities day-to-day tracking and material status.
  • Act with integrity and as a representative of the business.
  • Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with critical orders and SSJ submissions.
  • Monitor critical spares, return to stock, and scrap processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years' experience in an industrial/mining setting.
  • Extensive knowledge in power distribution and installation methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with inventory management software applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid G Driver's License.
  • Comfort in being in an underground environment.
  • Strong physical and mental abilities.
  • Good work ethic and strong attitude towards safety.
