Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Specialist to join our team at National Rent-All Inc. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for running a variety of heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, backhoes, and more.

Duties:

  • Operate heavy equipment to perform excavation and site servicing works, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks.
  • Service layout, grading, and foundation excavation, maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Loading and unloading heavy equipment/material, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
  • Maintaining open communication with Supervisors and colleagues, receiving job orders and instructions in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance of equipment, performing regular checks and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Tracking and documenting activity logs, providing valuable insights into workflow and productivity.
  • Working in various weather conditions, adapting to changing environments and priorities.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience operating heavy equipment, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
  • 3 years of experience in service layout, grading, and foundation excavation, demonstrating expertise in this area.
  • The ability to operate a range of manufacturer controls (e.g., Deere, Hitachi, CAT), understanding the nuances of each system.
  • Proficiency in maintaining grade during excavation using laser technology, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively interact with Supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, essential for clear communication and documentation.
  • A positive attitude towards the company, employees, and specific job/tasks, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.

License/Certification:

  • A DZ License is preferred, but not required.
  • A valid Driver's License and personal vehicle are essential for daily operations.
