Long-Term Care Support Specialist

About the Job:
As a Long-term Care Support Specialist, you will work as an integral part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in a long-term care setting. Under the direction of RNs and LPNs, you will have key responsibilities in individual care plans for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are supported while promoting maximum independence.
Typical duties include:
•Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
•Assisting with mobility, transfers, and related equipment
•Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration
•Housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment
•Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition
•Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities
•Performing clerical duties and delegated tasks
This is a casual opportunity with hours not guaranteed and shifts may be at short notice. However, casual employees are eligible to apply for internal postings including permanent and temporary positions.

Average salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per year. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
