At MAPLE FURNITURE, we are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaking Assistant to join our team. As a Cabinetmaking Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our cabinetmaking operations. Your primary responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, measuring weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting, mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt, cleaning and piling salvaged materials, performing routine maintenance work, and tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction. You will also assist skilled tradespersons and participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, youth employment, and Indigenous people.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Measuring weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
  • Performing routine maintenance work
  • Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
  • Assisting skilled tradespersons
  • Participating in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees, youth employment, and Indigenous people

Requirements:
