About the Role

Guru Nanak Drywall Ltd. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Mopping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Dusting and Polishing: Dust furniture and clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Disinfecting and Cleaning: Disinfect operating rooms and other areas, and handle and report lost and found items.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Mature Worker Support: Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
