Food Service Manager

West Coast Grill Sooke is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of quality and freshness.
- Manage food and service quality, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards and exceed customer expectations.
- Prepare and submit reports, providing valuable insights and recommendations to improve our food service operations.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and promotions, driving sales and customer engagement.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Manage inventory and supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing our resources.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
