Job Description

Rakuten Kobo is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Researcher to support our research team in delivering high-quality projects. This role involves working closely with the Research Manager to execute and deliver client projects, providing essential support to their team.

In this position, you will contribute to strategic insights and research findings, offer project updates, and collaborate with other team members to develop solutions to project-related problems. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting colleagues on all aspects of Kobo research projects' lifecycle, from methodology design and proposal to analysis, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Contacting participants for qualitative projects, scheduling, and other logistics.
  • Reading, analyzing, and displaying data in PowerPoint report templates.
  • Performing secondary research to support primary research-based insights.
  • Creating and deploying screener survey links for qualitative fielding.
  • Analyzing long/short answer questions from data collection of different qualitative projects.
  • Interest in moderating online and/or in person qualitative research.
  • Supporting/assisting the UX Design and Product teams in recruiting/scheduling participants for UX research.
The Skillset:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a research role.
  • A University Degree and/or Post-Graduate Certificate in a relevant field (Market Research, Business Insights, Marketing, or other).
  • Solid English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A good understanding of qualitative research tools.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Natural curiosity and a willingness to share ideas with others.
