Job Title: Department Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Store Supervisor to join our team at 2620917 ONTARIO INC.

Job Summary:

The Department Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, ordering merchandise, establishing work schedules, selling merchandise, preparing reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, organizing and maintaining inventory, supervising and co-ordinating activities of workers, conducting performance reviews, and supervising office and volunteer staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of 5-10 staff members
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Hire and train new staff members to meet business needs
  • Order merchandise and manage inventory levels
  • Establish work schedules and ensure adequate staffing
  • Sell merchandise and meet sales targets
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
  • Organize and maintain inventory levels
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Dependability and reliability
  • Initiative and ability to take ownership of tasks
Work Environment:

The Department Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service and meeting sales targets.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The Department Store Supervisor will work 40 hours per week.
