Behaviour is seeking a mission designer to play a pivotal role in the development of a new AAA intellectual property. In this position, you will leverage your creative and technical expertise, collaborating with team members from various disciplines to shape the mission's flow and enhance the player experience in this cutting-edge project associated with a prestigious external partner.

If you aspire to work within an exceptional team on a AAA unannounced project utilizing Unreal Engine 5, this opportunity is tailored for you.

In this position, you will:
  • Design and oversee missions from initial concept to a deliverable state, including the creation of new gameplay elements, encounter intentions, and in-engine implementation;
  • Iterate on mission design through feedback and playtesting, ensuring the desired player experience is achieved;
  • Develop the logical flow of missions using visual scripting and manage the related data;
  • Oversee the progression of your missions through each stage of development, ensuring design intentions are maintained through to final delivery;
  • Establish and continuously enhance design conventions for mission objectives, actions, pacing, etc.;
  • Support and review the contributions of junior team members;
  • Provide time estimates and adjust priorities as needed;
  • Create and present comprehensive design documents and related requests as necessary;
  • Collaborate and maintain daily communication with other departments.
What we are looking for:
  • 10+ years of experience in the gaming industry as a level/mission designer, particularly on AAA titles;
  • Strong comprehension of mission flow and pacing;
  • Prior experience in mission design on AAA projects;
  • Familiarity with visual scripting and sequencing tools (Blueprint, Flowgraph);
  • Proficient in Unreal Engine and associated tools;
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to ongoing changes;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in French and/or English.
