Food Service Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Gate of India Cochrane Inc.
Job Summary:The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, and train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Establish work schedules, and maintain records of staff hours and attendance.
- Supervise and check assembly of trays, and supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with physically demanding tasks, and will require attention to detail.
Personal Suitability:The ideal candidate will be a team player with initiative, and will have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:The Food Service Supervisor will support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition, and will provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
Support for Youths:The Food Service Supervisor will offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, and will provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Support for Veterans:The Food Service Supervisor will provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
Support for Indigenous People:The Food Service Supervisor will provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers:The Food Service Supervisor will apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, and will provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
Support for Visible Minorities:The Food Service Supervisor will apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, and will provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
