Job Title: Housekeeper

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Peter J Smulders. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our clients' homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Household Management: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Shopping and Errands: Shop for food and household supplies, and wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Work in employer's/client's home.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, overtime required, sitting, standing for extended periods, and walking.
