About the Role

The Registered Nurse will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role involves utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to provide high-quality patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to patients, families, and communities
  • Utilize nursing processes to ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Work to full scope of practice as a Registered Nurse
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Completion of CRNA Medication Management - Chapters and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources Certification (if not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last five years)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education in CTAS, Cardiac Arrest management (CAM) Basic and Advanced or ACLS, Trauma 101 or TNCC, Pediatric Building Blocks or PALS, and ENPEP.IV and CVAD competency
  • Charge Nurse training
