About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids and Company. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Lead activities that promote learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local attractions
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through art, drama, music, and physical activity
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, including eating, dressing, and toileting habits
  • Monitor children's progress and prepare reports for parents and guardians
  • Stay up-to-date with licensing regulations and ensure compliance
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers
  • Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education
  • Experience in early childhood education an asset
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • First Aid and CPR certification
