About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that promote learning and exploration, such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest.
  • Encourage children to express their creativity through various mediums, including art, drama, music, and physical activity.
  • Guide children in developing essential life skills, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Monitor children's progress and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with licensing regulations and ensure compliance in our childcare setting.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP education in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers.
