About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Expleo. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Instructions: Develop and maintain technical instructions for component repair activities and shop support.
  • Tool Design: Design and develop tools, testing equipment, and software to test and certify components.
  • Reliability and Cost Improvement: Research and implement solutions to improve reliability and reduce costs on components.
  • Equipment Service Bulletins: Review equipment service bulletins to recommend reliability or cost improvements.
  • Component Reliability: Collaborate with key customers to control the reliability of components.
  • Technical Investigations: Conduct technical investigations into customer component issues.
  • Production Support: Provide timely support to production to solve problems.
  • Maintenance Manuals: Review and establish requirements for maintenance manuals, test equipment, technician training, and materials.
  • Project Management: Manage individual projects throughout the NPI process.
  • Financial Justifications: Prepare financial justifications to support new products.
  • Technician Training: Assist in the training of technicians.
  • Technical Repairs: Review and implement technical repairs to recover parts.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar environment in aeronautics, ideally in an MRO department.
  • Education: University Degree in Engineering related to the field of aerospace.
  • Membership: Member of the OIQ.
  • Knowledge: Very strong knowledge of engineering and quality systems in an aeronautical environment.
  • Component Experience: In-depth experience with Mechanical components; (hydraulics, fuel, ECS systems).
  • Philosophy 5 S: Knowledge of philosophy 5 S.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English for reading and understanding maintenance manuals.
  • Skills: Strategic thinker, strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Team player and interpersonal skills to build relationships with employees.
  • Organizational Skills: Organizational skills, results-oriented, flexible.
