Job Title: C++ Electronic Trading Systems Developer

Our client, a leading quantitative finance research firm based in Toronto, is seeking a skilled C++ Electronic Trading Systems Developer to join their team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing distributed, multi-threaded systems focusing on high performance and low latency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-performance, low-latency systems using C++ and distributed computing techniques.
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement and integrate new features and technologies.
  • Work closely with the research team to develop and implement new trading strategies and algorithms.
  • Ensure the stability and reliability of the trading systems and platforms.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in C++ programming and distributed systems development.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented design, and software architecture.
  • Experience with FIX engines and electronic trading platforms in liquid financial markets is a plus.
