Senior C++ and UNIX Systems Developer

Our client, a Toronto-based quantitative finance research firm, is seeking a skilled C++ and UNIX systems developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with distributed multithreaded systems, real-time GUI displays, and software development.

The successful candidate will work closely with analysts and other groups to provide software solutions, design, code, and test new applications, and enhance existing systems. A strong emphasis is placed on performance and latency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance trading systems using C++ and UNIX
  • Design and implement real-time GUI displays
  • Work with distributed multithreaded systems
  • Collaborate with analysts and other groups

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Server-side C/C++ programming experience with LINUX
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Sybase, Tibco/Rv, Wombat, and other third-party solutions
