About the Opportunity
The Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto Mississauga invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Forensic Psychology as part of the Forensic Science Program. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative and independent research in Forensic Psychology, with a focus on the forensic application of behavioral science broadly construed.
- Teach undergraduate courses in Forensic Psychology, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures.
- Develop and maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
- Collaborate with tri-campus departments and pursue cross-appointment at the graduate level to a relevant department.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Psychology or a PsyD (or equivalent) degree from an American Psychological Association-accredited or Canadian Psychological Association-accredited (or equivalent international) doctoral program.
- Demonstrated record of excellence in both research and teaching, with an emphasis on the forensic application of behavioral science broadly construed.
- Experience working in a forensic clinical setting, or as an independent forensic consultant, with a proven record of casework, court testimony, or similar practices.
- Teaching expertise in a degree-granting program at the undergraduate level.
