Cristin Tile & Marble Ltd. is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tile. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Additionally, you will prepare rough plans and sketches, set tiles in place, and apply pressure to affix them to the base. Your attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors will be essential in aligning and straightening tiles. You will also cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, pack grout into joints between tiles, and remove excess grout. Furthermore, you will remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, and build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets. You will also cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite. Your ability to estimate costs and materials will be crucial in ensuring the success of our projects.
