Job Summary:

At ALBERTA LTD, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Handler to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine Method of Shipment: Work with our transportation team to select the most efficient and cost-effective method of shipping goods to our customers.
  • Schedule Distribution of Goods: Coordinate with our warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers.
  • Schedule Transportation Conveyances: Arrange for the transportation of goods to and from our warehouse, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and filed.
  • Prepare Bills of Lading, Invoices, and Other Shipping Documents: Accurately prepare and complete all necessary shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms.
  • Assemble Containers and Crates: Assemble and prepare containers and crates for shipping, ensuring that all necessary materials are included.
  • Inspect and Verify Incoming Goods: Inspect and verify all incoming goods against invoices and other documentation, ensuring that all items are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain Internal Record-Keeping System: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery dates, and any issues that may arise.
  • Record Shortages and Reject Damaged Goods: Record any shortages or damaged goods, and work with our suppliers to resolve any issues.
  • Route Goods to Appropriate Storage Areas: Ensure that all goods are stored in the appropriate areas of our warehouse, and that all necessary documentation is completed and filed.
  • Pack Goods to be Shipped: Pack and prepare goods for shipping, ensuring that all necessary materials are included.
  • Unpack Goods Received: Unpack and inspect all goods received, ensuring that all items are accurate and complete.
  • Oversee Loading and Unloading of Goods: Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring that all necessary safety protocols are followed.
  • PAY AND RECEIVE PAYMENTS FOR GOODS: Process payments for goods received, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and filed.
  • Work Term: Permanent
