Job Summary: Northland School Division is seeking a qualified educator to fill a Grade 8 teaching position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a rural and Indigenous community setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents on student progress.
  • Champion the revitalization of Cree language and culture, and incorporate relevant curriculum into teaching practices.
  • Support school-parent-community engagement and promote collaborative decision-making.
  • Utilize differentiated instruction to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must hold or be eligible for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
  • Must possess a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree.
  • Previous experience teaching in rural and/or Indigenous communities is an asset.
