Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Grade 8 Teacher to join our team at Gift Lake School in the Northland School Division. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents to ensure academic progress.
  • Support the integration of Cree language and culture into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance school-parent-community engagement.
  • Promote differentiated instruction to meet the unique needs of our students.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
  • Experience in teaching in rural and/or Indigenous communities.
